Firstly welcome to the team Dallas!
Thanks, im really stoked on the new sponsor. BSC is an amazing store which i used to froth on when i was a grom.
To finally be in the position to actually represent the store is something im really proud of.
What made you want to become a part of the BSC team?
I just loved the concept of being part of such a established team of riders connected to such a core retail store. Feels like to me that BSC is the store which I can get anything I want in bodyboarding, from my Dallas 38' PP Model to the Limited edition Blueprint models that hit the shelves last week! haha, (shameless self-promotion).
BSC's team hosts some of the worlds greatest talents, how do you hope to fit in with such a fine group of riders?
Firstly my skills on a lid, but more importantly my boyish good looks could be something that the team might not a take liking too. I hope eventually they'll see past that and take me under their wing as the newest adopted family member.
What are your plans for 08?
Well, a big priority is being a top seeded rider in all this year's IBA events - im looking at a strong finish in the end of year rankings which means bliztin' the pipe comp in Feb also. I also really want to create a functional move that groms will be winning heats with 10 years from now but that could be more of a work in progress - it's already coming to life sorta, and i've already got names planned out, kinda like a first child, hahah.
Well Dallas you seem like one of the best, most exciting riders we've seen in many years, stoked to have you aboard. Any last words before this interview gets sent out to the bodyboarding media moguls?
Yeah, looking forward to repin BSC in and out of the water. yeow!!

We find it hard to think of BP as a World Champion sometimes, like sure he has the trophy, the adulation, the model girlfriend but when he's in town he's our lunch buddy too. It screws the whole hero thing, he really should be too good for us, have an ego and be an all-round fuckwhit, we'd probably respect him more then. Truth is in the last year BP has turned into a freak, his surfing is better than ever and he is in the best shape of his life. Benplayer.com chronicles his last year on the road and his triumphant IBA year. No shots of his hot girl yet, but we've spoken to the site managers and will have that arranged.

This clip features a big wave comp held at Portugal's Nazare. They call this wave the Portuguese Puerto Escondido for obvious reasons. Some emotional beats really work that drama, check it.

The QLD Big Day Out rocked over the weekend. Tom Morello, the Rage Against the Machine guitarist was snapped in his UNITE. cap, designed by our main-man Joel Taylor.
Here is Tom's bio courtesy Wikipedia:
Thomas Baptist Morello (born May 30, 1964), also known as acoustic artist The Nightwatchman, is a Grammy Award-winning American guitarist well known for his tenure with the bands Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave.
He was featured as one of 20 guitarists in Rolling Stone magazine's "The Top 20 New Guitarists" article. An outspoken political activist, he was also ranked #26 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time".

A Division:
1st - Cameron Danzey
2nd - Sean De Silva
3rd - Dan Barios
4th - Nick Bannehr
AA Division:
1st - Asha Dolman
2nd - Alex Bunting
3rd - Jose Marquinas
4th - Grant Mcpherson
DK Division:
1st - Mason Rose
2nd - Asha Dolman
3rd - Murray Bell
4th - Adrian
Dan Barios took home the complementary Little Gourmet pizza for the biggest score in the A division. Maybe it was a huge reverse bash to roll on one of the bigger waves, maybe it was something else. I think the latter.
Jose made the highest score in the AA division with a ludicrous combo in the final, narrowly beating Corey Oliver's barrel (in surf that was not barreling, mind you). For the biggest combo he scored a free pizza thanks to Little Gourmet.
The next comp is on Sunday February 10 with a 6am start and $5 to enter. Everyone is welcome to come down and enjoy the day. If there is a big enough turnout, a third prone division may be considered. With only one comp down, there's still ample opportunity to get to the front of the points tally.
Any enquiries email fisherfilmproductions@hotmail.com
Finally a quick shout to the people that make this happen: Little Gourmet Pizza, Surf Culture Bondi Junction, Movement, BZ, Morey, NMD, VS, LMNOP, Churchill, Stealth and the Little Monopoly Man with his top hat and thick moustache.

After its outstanding resurgence back into the market, Morey Bodyboards have strengthened their elite team with the addition of current IBA Aussie Tour Champion, Andrew Lester.
Andrew is one of the most respected and successful bodyboarders to come out of the talent rich Cronulla region. Along with his domination of his home break; world renowned Shark Island, Lester is recognized as one of the toughest competitors of his generation having won many prestigious titles throughout his career.
He enters 2008 riding Morey Bodyboards & Churchill Swimfins, the brands that instilled his passion for bodyboarding through those early experiences in the ocean when he was a grom. A story that is so common amongst most of the current pro riders today.
Andrew’s new choice of wave vehicle is the Mach 7X, a board that has withstood the test of time in amongst design innovations over the years, “I’ve ridden the Mach 7X 42” and loved it…I’m so stoked to be riding for Morey again...Yew!”
The Mach 7X is one of the most high performance and respected stock board models ever made featuring a Wavecore Dow PE core, Sealed Air 8lb PE deck, Surlyn slick, X-Flex Mesh, Power Rod Stringer, 50/50 Double Vacuum Track Double Rails and Graduated Channels.
Morey bodyboards, the original bodyboards since 1971 are available all leading bodyboarding and surf retailers.

Dallas Singer Limited. New 4Play Fusion Core.
4Play have finally released there new Composite Core Technology board. 100 Dallas Limited boards have been made and are available from today in all good bodyboard stores.
“This core is the future” claims Dallas. “Reon (4Play shaper) and I spent the last 8 months perfecting the core and I honestly don’t think any other core compares to it. You get the best of both worlds, with the stiffness of PP in the lower part of the board, helping to drive in and out of turns. The Dow on the nose helps for scooping and projecting from the lip.”
Reon commented “Dallas was insane to work on this project with. I have dreamt about perfecting the Composite Core for a few years now and Dallas was the perfect test pilot. Dallas has the full new school approach of charging heavy waves and hitting big ramps but he is creative in the water and always trying something new.”
Every board comes with a signed Dallas poster. In stores from today.
Dallas Limited $400.00

If you're one of the lucky mofos with cable, check out BP tonight on the news. He was live on the Long Lunch and will be packaged up for the nightly news with footage of his World Championship win. Maybe go to a buddies house and pillage there. After you've watched BP, watch FTV, that's the show with all the hot models from Europe. They have this section on lingerie which is simultaneously amazing and frustrating. Why? Cause you'll never even get your stinking mitts close to these hotts kid. These women bite on rockstars, moviestars or billionaires........which you are not.

Hailing from the Central Coast of Australia, Grant has taken out the 2007 DKS World Tour after a first place at DKS Tiona, 4th place at DKS Port Mac and a 2nd place in the Japan leg of the tour.
Congrats to Grant and well done to all the riders for supporting this years events. I had an absolute ball at the 2 events here on the east coast of oz and i'm sure everyone had an equally fun time in Japan. As mentioned there will be results and full press release to follow but I would like to thank you all for supporting the events and me through this year.It really is looking better for 08 with the alligning of the IBA and DKS to work together on some bigger and better events.
For those people who travelled to events from all over the world, thanks again and we look forward to seeing you next year.
The biggest thanks has to go out to Simon Luke from the Sundowner Tourist Park who was the only Major supporter of the tour this year and we couldn't have done it without you mate so thanks heaps!!!
Ok crew keep your eye's peeled on the DKS website for the official release and rankings for the year and lets do it all again next year.
