We just got this nice email from Sarah-Jane Prendeville from WA, attached these shots of her in her swimmers. Pretty cool when you compare it to the other emails we get about exposing someone's spot or not recognising their mate in an 'unknown' shot. Plus Sarah is hot and from her email she sounds pretty cool, so we thought we'd share her photos and invite any other hotties to send their shots for the webby. And for the record this isn't perving people, it's like appreciating art or something.

Yesterday we had the rubber big-wigs at our shoot inside the Minus5 Bar in Sydney. Despite the obvious, everyone kept saying how cold it was, -24 degrees to be exact. We felt no pain inside our woolen parkers as they skittered around, cause as you know for some of these pro kids this is as close to work as they'll get all year. And as some added justice to all of us, we made sure they took off the uggies and ran bare foot so they felt how damn cold the real world can be.

Ross McBride has just scored the ultimate cover, not in bodyboard magazine but in an acclaimed Surfing Magazine, Surfers Journal. Here is an email that Ross wrote to the cats at LMNOP, his board sponsors.
Ross McBride: I had a friend call me today and left a voicemail congratulating me about a cover of a Surf Magazine... I assumed it was the shot I had in an earlier issue but It was another Surf Publication and the shot wasn't of a surfer! It was of ME!!!
The Surfers Journal is a Quarterly Magazine with a distribution of around 55,000 worldwide and is considered the National Geographic of the Surf Industry. Getting a photo published in this magazine is an honor and because the owners of this publication are the first photographers of surf. Their standards are beyond high cause they have seen and shot it all!! The Editor Jeff Divine was fed up with working with the major surfing magazines so he started his own about 10 years ago. - ( http://www.surfline.com/mag/reviews/divine.cfm ) Jeff has been shooting photos since before I was born and he called me 3 months ago told me he really like this unique angle from Tahiti. He asked me a few questions about the location, how I shot it, and I assumed he might run it small if anything in the magazine.
His magazine is predominantly a surf magazine considering the shot is of a Professional Bodyboarder and the surf company advertisers pay about 10 G's for a 2 page ad in their magazine and limit it to only 8 advertisers. It turned out that they liked it enough to run it on the cover of their Spring 07 Issue.
But the Gods were shinning down or something!!! I must me owed a little Karma cause I can't believe this!! This is one of the biggest accomplishments of my life. To be recognized as a bodyboarder and a good photographer in the most prestigious magazine is a highlight of my life. I'm hoping this will continue to build my name as a Professional Rider, help board sales and the brand of LMNOP.
It's a good day that's for sure!!
Hope it makes you guys excited about how happy I am... I can't believe it...
Talk soon
Ross

If you can avoid the hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis that have died from his greed, the drowned New Orleans folk that he forgot to tend to and the countless other eff-ups that’ve made him the most hated US President in history, you could almost find George Bush funny, after all, he’s got that cheeky smirk and those stupid sentences that we all love. This came through in an email today, nothing surfing related, but something we can all appreciate. A little sequence of images showing that perhaps the world’s most powerful man ain’t packing where it matters.

Aaron Carter is the last of the Pride shred-dogs, living in both Port and Newcastle has allowed him a variety of reef and beachie action. As this vid attests the man don't mind a bit of knee either, throwing props to Fred Booth and Todd De Graff as versatile riders that've inspired him. To all those who didn't win, wipe those tears and get filming for your opp. next year.

Mason is a freak isn't he. Always shooting his mouth off, doing crazy shit on the knee and this, breaking. Above is a preview for his third movie in bboy/ bgirl breaking Seven Shadows 3.

Introducing Ben Martineau, 18 from South Wall Ballina. He think women 'go alright' and believes Ryan Hardy is a 'good fella'. His dream job is to be paid 'seven million dollars per surf'. Not sure how he got to the specific seven million dollar figure, but it sounds good to us, like he said 'it is a dream'.

Another chapter in the Lee Kelly travel journal, fresh from his adventures in LA and Brazil the man has been partying amongst the model women of New York City, using his Aussie accent and Photog credentials to slide into bars he'd be snobbed from at home. Lee Kelly flanked by NYC's finest.

Sammy Bennett is another of the lucky new Pride kids to score a sponsorship through the Pride Development Initiative, a 16 year old Port grom from Breakwall with desires of world domination. Have we just unearthed Port Macquarie's third World Champ? Or have we just put some lofty pressure on his shoulders?

Bill Paterson of Upper Orara NSW is another of the winners in the Pride comp. His vid above scored him a year long sponsorship with the young-guns at Pride. He didn't send the form we asked for so we almost canned him, damn shame that he surfed so good.
