DK
28.8.06

We just recieved this release from Clayton Pickworth the honcho of the Port DK Sessions which went down a couple of weeks ago. We are fans of these freaks on the knee and as we speak Muzz is laying out a DK feature for Movement 14 shot by Senior Photog Tim Jones. Check a young Tim with harry-high-pants in the Shark Island NEXT spread of 13. Priceless.

Press release DK Sessions:
The 2006 Sundowner Dropknee Sessions again kickstarted the DK World Tour in Port Macquarie with solid 4ft conditions at Lighthouse Beach. With some solid offshore kegs early, LHB was a real playground for the likes of Dave Hubbard, Luke Hall, Mason Rose and Matt Lackey. But when it was all said and done, Mason again showed some fighting spirit to kill off any challenge from finals compatriates and win his 2nd DKS crown from Chris Apps in 2nd, Luke Hall 3rd and Grant Molony 4th.

A massive thanks to the sponsors involved this year;

GW Transport
Port Macquarie Hastings Council

Web is live
21.8.06

Hey net geek - yeah you buddy, you like the site? Well we spent months talking about this site. Just when we were about to start actually doing it our designer, slash web guy, slash budding-male-model scores an XBOX 360 and a few Rockstar games. When he surfaced from gaming-hell we hassled him and hassled him to do his html thing. We threatened breaking his thin neck and finally he buckled down. We think he did a great job, thanks Noodle.

Movement Issue 13
15.8.06

Lucky Number One-Three

A previous editor of Movement stipulated a clause during his tenure outlawing tow outs. It’s not bodyboarding. It cheapens real airs (he also outlawed italics so I really hope he doesn’t read this). But it’s all about being different these days and that means utilising our medium, photography. So it was that we undertook a first hand lesson in night time tow-surfing. Pure photographic experiment. For the joy of the visual. Brush past the jet-black cover and turn the lights on number thirteen’s title feature.

We also unleashed a gang of savages on a remote Indo island. It houses the best – and most fickle – right hander in Indo. Joint lived up to its rep too, blessing some with the barrel of their life and the rest a long, long, loooong wait in the liquid. Tasmania played its aces again this issue. The Stern put on a show for some Sydney blow-ins that’ll rank above anything that has spewed forth from that cold, dark arena. Oh, and remember Andre Botha? You know, the young African champion who sold his soul to the devil’s pleasures. Yeah, that one. Well, he’s back. He be a man now, too. With a chance to do good, he wants to tell you want went wrong.

We also fight God. Say bye-bye to the Mentawais. And pump all the news you want out of your industry. Now feast my pretties, feast.
