Many commentators on the Movement site use a false email address lest their often slanderous, sometimes homophobic and always vilifying comments come back to haunt them in the form of a public disclosure. It’s their right, but, as we have a bunch of product to give away every month for the best comments, it does make it a little difficult to reward people.


This month we’re chasing one more man who chose the cowards path, but did it with enough style to warrant our rewards. His name is Bort. We have no idea who he is or where he’s from but we imagine he looks a little something like this…

The fucking underground! A loose bunch of characters that intregue. Cheerish difference because your the fucking same. Lame ...AND HEAPS OF HOT SEXY LADIES AND DUDES TO KEEP US ERECT. NO MORE PINK GAY TIGHT METRO TSHIRTS PLEASE!!! Just tanned six packs, big smiles, big fingers, nice titties and arses. PARTIES! GOOD FRIENDS ACCROSS THE WORLD. A sport that isn't competitive, it's a lifestyle that brings people together! A stereotypical demographic I think not. FROM TOUGH CUNTS GOING FOR IT TO NERDS PAINTING THEIR SKILLS ACCROSS THE FACE OF THE WAVE!. Bodyboarders are as diverse and intersting. If the media cannot convey that, then the sport will sink. is that objectively subjective enough for ya? COMPS SUCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKK!

Courtney's Karaoke Solo

We had our clothing shoot for issue 30 on the weekend. We worked with the Chadwicks agency and hired two of their models, Michella (a Danish blonde) and Courtney Chircop.

Courtney was part of the model search show hosted by Jen Hawkins and was rather comfortable in front of the camera. She laid down her own version of Akon's Sexy Bitch for us and had no problem singing it at the top of her lungs in front of a bunch of people she didn't know. We dig her confidence though she was banned from downloading any more music after this track.

Brrrr, brrr,brrrrrrr. Clothing shoot coming up in issue 30 (on-shelves mid-September), with brrrrrr, brrrrrrr, hot girls.

We're opening up the lab here for a in-depth casting for the shoot. Last year our stunners made us proud and Tully went onto be Movement's Girl Of The Year. A huge honour for her (not). 

We leave with a few images of last year's shoot. Don't fret, we'll feature the shoot here in due course so all our friends in Iran etc can appreciate the beauty and check the latest threads from bodyboarding's best clothing companies.

Bums On Towels, At IBA Viana Portugal

Eder Luciano has today defeated GT in the final of the Viana Pro in Portugal. Tour leader going into the event, Mike Stewart placed equal third with Luis Villar, proving Mike can still challenge the best in gutless waves.

The real contest seems to have gone down on the beach though with 75% of the images sent to us from good man Pedro Patricio, featuring nylon sandwiched between two impeccable european buns.

Its called " nazare special edition". just google a bit and you will be surprised. Last one even had the biggest waves ever in a beachbreak (not joking). its no big deal so dont make it sound like youve landed on the moon.

The pro surfers arent always surfin crackin waves in there comps either. Crew should support 100% thats the only way it will happen. Have seen nazare classic on the net fuckin huge

Props to all the crew involved in the Viana Pro, it's hard to do something in bodyboard nowadays, and the done it! And probably only beacause it's summer time and the sponsorships know there are a lot of people in the beach watching the contest. Let's work to do better contests and to improve bodyboard worldwide! Stop being such a fucking haters! We are bodyboard, a small but "core" sport, so stay united...we all one nation...the boogie nation

Mike Stewart even said in the video that it is almost like a different sport (sufing small waves in those conditions). Bodyboarding competitions need big waves to maintain their credibility. If there is going to be more comps like this than big wave locations i am not going to be interested in following the comp scene. I would rather riders riding big waves for the love of it at their locals and getting a bit of mag coverage and the odd vid than seeing this great sport being prostituted like it is at these comps.
