Science Customs Design Challenge

Posted Monday, May 10, 2010

The guru, shot last week in the Movement office. We recorded a series of interviews that will shortly be posted online where Mike discusses Pipeline, the next generation, respect and why you’ll come off sounding like you’re on acid if you try to describe the awesomeness of wave riding to someone who has never experienced it.

The Science Customs Design Challenge is an open call for all artists, from the school book to the canvas, to create a custom slick design and share it with the bodyboarding community. The Challenge will run until June 30 with a major prize to be selected by MS and Al Taylor on July 12. Additional prizes will be awarded via community voting on vote.sciencecustoms.com.

First place, selected by Mike and Al:

Science Custom board adorned with your winning design, a Science boardbag and a Gyroll leash.

First place, selected by online voters:
Science Custom board with the winning design, a Science boardbag and a Gyroll leash.

Second and third places, selected by online voters:
$75 and $50 gift certificate to Science Customs

The Challenge has been designed to showcase a breakthrough in board design technology allowing Science Customs to apply custom artwork to your board. All art is permanently applied, will not scratch or fade and unlike other board graphics, the artwork is created specifically for your custom board.

sounds awesome for those that dig it. to be prefer still plain boards and dont like any design elements on it. Im bodyboarding when in the water not in the future....also this will prove distracting for sponsors decals. not for me - next
